Rising Damp
Rising Damp — Banbury End-Terrace
Failed original DPC in a 1930s end-terrace causing damp patches across all ground-floor rooms, treated with a new chemical DPC system.
Project details
Banbury, Oxfordshire
A 1930s end-terrace in Banbury had a failed bitumen damp-proof course, resulting in rising damp affecting all ground-floor rooms. Tide marks were visible at approximately 900mm height. We installed a new chemical damp-proof course by injection, removed defective plaster, and applied a salt-resistant base coat followed by bonding and finish coats. All rooms are now dry.
